A couple times we saw greys right up on the beach, partly out of the water, and Orcas or Orca farther out. Other whales, sharks (including great whites), rays, seals, sea lions, otters, porpoises, dolphins, fish... depending on the pod, where they're at, what's available, transient vs resident pod. When the prey falls, the Orca in the place of the fall feeds on it. Dang things are smart. Obviously shot from a drone. IIRC, they have even taken swimming deer and maybe moose in SE Alaska. Different populations or ecotypes may specialize, and some can have a dramatic impact on prey species. They weigh up to 6 tons (5,443 kilograms) and gro… Waiting for the "this is why I kill orcas!". Not sure if anyone knows or cares, but they are the largest member of the dolphin family and are not actually whales. It also showed how they hunt and kill stingrays with out getting hit by their poisonous barbs. Killer whales hunt varied prey including fish, cephalopods, mammals, seabirds, and sea turtles.
