In the ‘BIG’ world of Data, it is imperative to support a vibrant and exciting industry, hence our decision to institute these awards. Winners will be announced at our Gala dinner in September at the Westin Hotel. For the first time in the history of The AIconics, we are launching the AI Innovator of the Year Award – a people’s choice vote for excellence in AI. A number of award categories will be open to public voting immediately (without the need for nominations and short-listing) Other award categories will be open to public voting after nominations are short-listed by the AI Awards Judges. The Awards attracted interest from over 35 organisations, from which 18 entries were received. Awards.AI - The Annual Achievement Awards for Artificial Intelligence.This is a global awards and can include any company or person in any country.See our schedules page for details on when nominations and voting opens and closes.There is no cash alternative for the award winners.A company or person can win more than one category.Awards.AI reserves the right to alter the rules and terms & conditions at any time.We may add or remove categories based on feedback from the AI community.Sponsoring companies are excluded from the awards and any votes for sponsoring companies will be ignored.Awards.AI is part of the Informed.AI network of websites which will promote the AI Awards to its members.Nomination and Voting data and metrics will not be made public.Your email will be added to our communications on the Awards both this year and for future years.A company or person may submit nominations against a maximum of four award categories.Sponsoring companies are excluded from the awards.All nominations will be reviewed by the panel of judges and based on defined criteria the judges will short-list applications for each award category.Short-listed nominations will go forward to the second round of voting.Some award categories will be voted by the judges others will be via public vote.A number of award categories will be open to public voting immediately (without the need for nominations and short-listing).Other award categories will be open to public voting after nominations are short-listed by the AI Awards Judges.Some award categories will be decided by the judges via nomination review and feedback from showcase events.The definition of “Best” is obviously subjective, it is for the individual voters to decide what they consider to be best.All votes will be counted and used to select the winner.If no votes have been received for a given category then the panel of judges will select a winner and the judge’s decision is final.If a draw on votes for a given category, then the Awards.AI judges will make a final decision.One vote per category per person / email address.Any attempt to bias the voting, will be investigated and corrected.Once a vote is submitted it can not be revoked or modified.Additional information supplied by voters will be reviewed in the event of a draw by the panel of judges.All Judges will have their photos and profiles listed on our Judges page and will be expected to help with the nomination screening and selecting the winners in many of the award categories.All judging will be done online for short-listing nominations.
