Rainfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected along and near the track of Isaias across southern Quebec. NHC noted, “Isaias continues to produce an area of vigorous convection near and to the northeast of its low-level center. Isaias is forecast to be near the Central Bahamas Friday night and approach the Northwest Bahamas or southern Florida Friday night and Saturday, August 1. "My role on this paper was to tell Colin not to bother, he was never going to find anything," said Jonathan Losos, the William H. Danforth Distinguished Professor at Washington University and professor of biology in Arts & Sciences.

On Aug. 1, the MODIS instrument, known as the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer that flies aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite provided a visible image to forecasters of Tropical Storm Isaias over the northern Bahamas where it weakened slightly from a hurricane to a tropical storm. Neither your address nor the recipient's address will be used for any other purpose. Tropical-storm-force winds are occurring along the southern coast of Puerto Rico.

10-6 p.m. Sep. 27-29. In the 7 a.m. EDT hour, the National Weather Service reported sustained winds of 63 mph (101 kph) and a gust to 77 mph (124 kph) at Third Island, Virginia, at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. At 8 a.m. EDT (1200 UTC) on July 31, NHC reported the center of Hurricane Isaias was located by NOAA and Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft near latitude 21.3 north, longitude 73.9 west. The center of Isaias will then approach the coast of northeastern South Carolina and southern North Carolina within the hurricane warning area later today. The results may have implications for other types of animals—not just lizards—and also for other changes under new climate scenarios. NASA’s expertise in space and scientific exploration contributes to essential services provided to the American people by other federal agencies, such as hurricane weather forecasting. Some increase in strength is forecast through tonight, with weakening likely on Thursday due to land interaction. Isaias ran into wind shear and forecasters expect those winds to continue battering the storm for another day. But this physical difference has never been definitively linked to an evolutionary response to hurricanes. On the forecast track, the center of Isaias will move near or over the east coast of Florida today through late tonight.

Some slight weakening is possible as Isaias moves over Hispaniola today. Families can also visit Harbes Barnyard Adventure, which includes a hayride tour, pig races, farm animals, a sports zone, and more.
