Lifetime’s The Unauthorized Story Of Saved By The Bell dives into the behind-the-scenes drama as the cast struggles to maintain their squeaky-clean image amid growing stardom. This is not going to be a slam of Mr. Dustin Diamond, simply a review of what Lifetime put on the screen last night.This unauthorized version is told from Dustin Diamond's recollection of events. On Monday, September 1, Lifetime ushered in a new generation of unauthorized biopics with its behind the scenes look at what really happened on the 1990s hit Saved by the Bell… Don't understand why its rating is so low, can only assume it's because people have a problem with it being from Screech's perspective or maybe didn't like that the actors were not exactly like their characters or didn't concentrate more on what people expected to see... Whatever the reason, I think it's unjust as this is actually a fairly good film. I know it did not depict every single thing accurately and omitted a fair bit, but I really enjoyed it anyway and was not bored at any point, it left me wanting more.My love for Saved By The Bell almost made this tolerable...but its a mess,The Best Movies of Two Thousand and Fourteen. I am an adult who grew up absolutely LOVING Saved By The Bell. I can't believe it didn't get a theatrical release. It is corny, it is sugary and it does miss some of the seedier parts of Dustin Diamond's book.Best movie ever. I was so wrong. Because it is Unauthorized they make up sets that look nothing like the actual ones, stories and scripts that never happened and events that were very unlikely. I'd really rate it a 7, but am giving it an 8 here to help bump it up a bit to a more realistic rating: 4.6 is totally unjustified. I understand there were some very dramatic things that happened behind the scenes so this could have been very interesting. The first trailer for the upcoming "Saved by the Bell" Lifetime film is out, and it certainly has us reminiscing about Screech, Zack, Slater and the rest of the gang at Bayside High.On Sept. 1, the network will premiere "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story," which will explore the lives of the actors who starred in the hit TV series, which ran from 1989-1993 on NBC and lives on in reruns.From the clothes and the hair styles, the new actors definitely share somewhat of a resemblance to the ones we know and love from the teen comedy.According to Lifetime, the film "delves into the experiences of six unknown young actors placed into the Hollywood spotlight, exposing the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen.
