I couldn't move my arm in any direction and it took days for it to subside. Subsequently arm pain extending to right wrist. I've been getting flu shots for years. Now, weeks later, arm is still sore and wrist hurts when the hand is used. Even though I had already had the pneumonia vaccine several years ago, because I have asthma, I was urged to repeat it as there is a new, improved vaccine. Well this was more than 3 months ago and I almost ended up in the hospital because I swelled up really bad for a few weeks but since then my left arm aches all the time and I have to take ibuprofen about 3 times a day. The next several days I developed swollen glands and a severe sore throat. I had the Pneumovax shot on October 4, just last week. The most painful vaccine ever!

I got one in each arm. I injured my rotator cuff in both my shoulders, went to see various doctors, and got a lot of treatment that didn’t do anything for me.

Two weeks later my throat is still sore and I cannot shift this hacking cough. Four days later I no longer am sick but arm is more swollen and redder. I am! I will never have his shot again. After 12 days I still have soreness and a little bump that has gotten smaller than it was. Never again, it is worse than the tetanus shot! But, having had pneumonia and being hospitalized for it, I will stand for that any day. I must say that the shot was very painful and I cannot lift my arm all the way and have shooting pains in my shoulder. I got the pneumonia vaccine shot as I thought it would be good preventative.
